This policy explains what FreshRig (operated by Shovelware, "we") collects, why, and your choices. It covers your data as a user of the Service. The motor-carrier records inside the Service are separate — see §7.
1. What we collect
- Account data — the email address you sign in with, and the sign-in tokens and session identifiers needed to keep you logged in.
- Billing data — if you subscribe, your subscription status and a Stripe customer/subscription reference. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location, IP address and browser/device info, collected via Umami, the analytics software we host ourselves, to understand and improve the product. This includes session recordings — see §5.
2. How we use it
To operate and secure the Service (authenticate you, maintain sessions), to process subscriptions, to measure and improve features and conversion, and to communicate with you about your account (e.g. sign-in links, receipts). We do not sell your account information.
3. Cookies & tracking
We set a strictly-necessary sid session cookie so you stay signed
in. Our analytics is cookieless — it identifies a visit without storing an
identifier on your device. We do use session recording; see
§5 for exactly what that captures and how to switch it off. We
respect the “Do Not Track” browser signal — if your browser
sends DNT, no analytics events and no recordings are captured.
4. Who we share it with (processors)
- Cloudflare — hosting, database, and email delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing and the billing portal.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the Service. We do not sell personal information.
Product analytics and session recording run on Umami, which we host ourselves on our own infrastructure — that data is not shared with any third-party analytics vendor.
5. Analytics & session recording
We measure page views and product events, and we record how people use the product — clicks, scrolling and page navigation — so we can find and fix the parts that are confusing. Recordings mask every form input: passwords, email addresses and anything else you type into a field are never captured. Recordings are stored on our own infrastructure and are automatically deleted after 30 days. We respect Do Not Track — switch it on in your browser and we record nothing at all.
6. Retention
We keep account and billing data while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion at any time (§8).
7. The carrier records are public FMCSA data — not collected from you
The motor-carrier registration records shown in the Service (name, address, phone, email, etc.) are public records published by the FMCSA under the federal Open Data Policy. We did not collect them from those carriers; we present public government data. If you are a carrier and want to view, correct, or understand how your registration information is published, that is controlled by FMCSA — contact FMCSA directly (your information is public because you registered with them). We will, on request, remove a specific record from display in our Service where we reasonably can.
8. Your choices & rights
You can access or delete your account data, or ask what we hold, by emailing hello@shovelware.ai. Depending on where you live (e.g. California/CCPA, EU/UK GDPR) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data and to opt out of certain processing; we honor applicable requests. You can also enable “Do Not Track” to stop analytics capture.
9. Security, children & changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no system is perfectly secure. The Service is a B2B tool not directed to children under 18. We may update this policy; material changes are posted here with a new date, and continued use means acceptance.
